A Day in the Life of the Numbers
While I consider myself a personal development and career direction/transition coach, my differentiation is the use of my intuitive faculties.
In my previous business, I worked as an intuitive consultant, and I bring those skills into my coaching business. Coaching is a wisdom business, and wisdom is what has been learned through this experience we call life. I bring the wisdom of my experiences to my work.
My Work With the Numbers
My work as a career intuitive involves the use of the numbers in my clients’ dates of birth. These numbers reveal to me their birth paths, and lays the foundation for me to gain insight into what Great Work they are here to accomplish.
This Great Work can be considered their life path, their call to action, their purpose, their reason for being, their mission. I work with people who not only want to know what their purpose is, but how they can express it through the work they do; but not just to do the work—but to be successful doing it (which usually means being financially supported doing the work).
A Life in the Numbers
Sometimes, life can send us situations which can become turning points for us to consider changing our work. A case in point is a recent situation that happened to one of my clients from my intuitive consulting work.
She contacted me in a panic, needing to see me as she had just suddenly, without any warning, been informed that she was being terminated from her job. She wanted to consult with me about her options.
When she arrived for the consultation, I was led to start by asking her for her date of birth, so I could calculate her birth path. Her numbers revealed her path to be an 8 Birth Path.
I then calculated her current career cycle, since she was at a significant turning point in her working life. Her current career cycle is a 4.
A 4 Career Cycle is a time when a person needs to get to work, so to speak. It’s a serious and responsible year. It is a time to get practical, build the foundation for future growth, set a budget, and get things in order. So, anything involving work, generally speaking, is highlighted in a 4 Career Cycle.
I then was led to calculate the number of the day in which she was terminated. The number of that day was a 9 Day.
The 9 is a number that represents completions of cycles, and things come up that need to be examined and discarded. Things in life we thought we needed fall away. Things can reach their natural stage of conclusion on a 9 Day, regardless how the situation appears.
Once again, I found it interesting how the numbers can so accurately highlight what is going on in the lives of my clients.
When I explained this to her, she felt it was a sign that she needed to consider starting her own business. She’d been toying with the idea for some time, and even had a partner in mind to start the business with.
This is when I introduced her to her 8 Birth Path.
The 8 Birth Path is the natural entrepreneur. With this path, power and wealth are the person’s destiny and challenge. With this number, she was being encouraged to launch her own company.
The Numbers Are Just the Beginning…
That’s the intuitive part of my work. The coaching then kicked in.
I asked her to tell me about her finances at this time. She was concerned, and said that she would need to have a source of income to replace the income from the job she just lost. She was experiencing the financial challenge of her Birth Path.
We talked about a strategy she would need to implement to change her financial picture, because if she didn’t work on this part of her life, her business would not be successful, especially financially.
I then wanted to talk about her second challenge, that having to do with power. In my consulting work with her, I discovered she had a tendency, in her relationships with others, to give her power away.
Again, with an 8 Path, this made sense to me.
I then suggested if she did not address this now, she would repeat this pattern with her business partner. We then talked about ways for her to work toward reclaiming her power. We ended the session at this point, and she felt much better about her situation.
I share her situation for a couple of reasons. First, it showcases how I approach this work. It’s a marriage of the conventional (career direction/transition coaching) and the unconventional (the use of the clients’ numbers of the birthdate).
Second, an aspect of my coaching process is to look at the areas of life that will be affected by the change in one area. In the situation I share, my client wanted to change her career, but first needed to address her finances and reclaim her personal power, in order for her career change to be successful.
I have a saying: Change changes everything. When you’re entertaining the idea of coaching, know that the change you’re seeking to make will require you to make other changes.
Thank you for the opportunity to share with you not only what I do, but how I do it.
