Being Conscious of Our Commitments
When the oracle card Commitment extends itself to you, its message is to be conscious of what you’re committing yourself to.
While the natural inclination is to consider romantic commitments (based on the image of the card), you’re being encouraged to go beyond that scope. This is about any and all things you choose to commit yourself to.
Be clear about the nature of the commitment, as well as your responsibility to it.
This card also asks you to consider how you’re engaging in your relationship with yourself.
- Do you love who you are?
- Have you told yourself “I love you” today?
How we treat ourselves is how we will allow others to treat us.
By the same token, how we love ourselves will be the same measure we will love another. Honoring the commitment to yourself will go a long way in honoring your commitments to others.
Lastly, from a spiritual perspective, this card asks you to remember that your partnership with Spirit will aid you in elevating the commitment you make with yourself–as well as all your other commitments.
