Success in 12 Months: Living Without Means More
Welcome to the fourth and final week of Month 11 in the “Success in 12 Months” blog series! This month, we’ve been focusing on an important topic for a lot of us: money.
Last week you identified a few “want” items you felt you could eliminate from the expense list.
This week’s assignment is to do without the items you identified.
If you came up with three things, whether it was TV or going to eat out at restaurants, you’re going to get rid of that habit. Or maybe it was spending money on a Starbucks coffee every single day, maybe you’re going to cut that down to once a week.
Try it.
My guess is that when you remove these things that are just kind of causal wants, that it’s actually kind of liberating.
If you can live without these for a week, consider doing away with them permanently.
You didn’t really need them. You’re acknowledging now that they were definitely wants, and you’re going to see all this extra cash that you can now be investing in something that maybe is a little bit more important to you at a gut level, at a spiritual level so to speak.
In your journal, write down how you felt leaving the “wants” behind in your workbook.
Leave me a comment below or post an update on my Facebook page about your experience.
Next week, we’ll be wrapping our series up with our final topic that will round things out.
See you next week!
