Is Your Situation Really Your Opportunity?
When the Wheel of Fortune circles its way to you, it means that life is opening up for you!
The Wheel can represent the cycles of life; we experience the ups and downs, the ebbs and flows, of life. The Wheel lets us know that “what goes around comes around.” The Wheel can indicate a time of things changing for the better.
The Wheel can represent opportunities showing up, a time where you seem to be in the right place at the right time. Olivia Newton-John once sang this as “a strange twist of fate.” Destiny is stepping in; Fortune is smiling upon you.
The Wheel, being a card of evolution and expansion, can also suggest that you are ready to look at the cycles and patterns that show up in your life again and again. If those cycles and patterns are not “working for you,” then this is your “opportunity” to get off the emotional rollercoaster these cycles and patterns have you taking a seat in and riding on. This is your “opportunity” to say, “Stop the ride—I want to get off!”
Will you take the opportunity this time—or wait until those situations show up the next time?
The Universe (the backdrop on the card) is supportive, in that It will respond to both your willingness—and your unwillingness. It lets you decide when you’re ready; It will keep presenting you with the “opportunities” though.
I mentioned evolution when the Wheel comes your way. This is evidenced as the figures in the image on the card circle the Flower of Life, a sacred symbol that is seen around the world in various religious and spiritual “circles.” Perhaps this is a time for you to explore new spiritual ideas and concepts; the Flower of Life is associated with Sacred Geometry.
In the Rider Waite version of the Wheel, the word TAROT is spelled when we make one revolution around the wheel in a clockwise direction. As a student, lover, and practitioner of Tarot, I always get excited to see this card in my personal readings, as I take it to mean that my relationship with Tarot is evolving and expanding.
So, for today, consider this affirmation: “Life is continually bringing me the opportunities for my growth, expansion, and evolution, and I am ready.”
