Weekly Affirmation Card for January 16th – 22nd
On the day before New Year’s Eve (2022), I was watching a video on making affirmation cards and suddenly felt inspired. I don’t have many of these in my collection, and I hadn’t considered making one before, but inspiration strikes when it strikes, right?
Here’s the first, which I made after watching that video: “I cut the cords to worry and fear so I can have peace of mind.”
This is what I affirm when I conduct the process of “cord cutting,” which is setting the intention to release any energetic connections that are no longer serving or supporting me.
I usually work with Archangel Michael when cutting cords, and the image reflects that; the figure is a representation of Michael with the sword in hands.
The showing of the back can represent, first and foremost, being supported by Michael in my intention to sever what is no longer needed or wanted. It can also represent the past (think “back there”), acknowledging that most cords have been formed from past experiences.
Since this card is really about the process of elimination and removal – cutting out what we believe no longer works for us in our lives – I thought it great to share as we settle more into this new year. What cords do you want to see cut in your life now?
Affirm: “I cut the cords to worry and fear about (whatever that situation or experience is), so I can have peace of mind.”
And so it is.
Deck used: The Re-Language Affirmation Oracle, a new deck in development by James Himm Mitchell.
