Weekly Affirmation Card for February 20th – 26th
When “I honor the commitments I make to myself and to others” turns up, you’re being asked to consider the people and things you commit to throughout your day.
In the image, a couple exchanges rings during their wedding ceremony. A wedding, as a ceremony, consists of the parties involved making pledges, promises, and vows to each other as a way of setting intentions for the relationship going forward.
So, while this card could imply an actual wedding ceremony or the married life of a couple, in the more general sense, it sends the message that this is a time to keep your promises and honor your commitments – both the ones you make to and for yourself, as well as those you make to and for others (to the level best of your ability).
Considering that a marriage is a legally-binding institution, another possibility with this card is about agreements, which can range from being verbal (the words are spoken aloud in a wedding ceremony) to being contractual. When this card turns up in that context, it can suggest being mindful of the agreements you’re making – and to whom. Whether personally or professionally, “I honor the commitments I make to myself and to others” is about unions and mergers – in other words, partnerships.
“I honor the commitments I make to myself and to others” is also a “connector” card, highlighting connections between people and situations. With that, this card may be turning up to encourage you to “make the connection” in your relationships to certain individuals or your involvement and contribution to certain situations and circumstances – in an effort to develop a better understanding and awareness of yourself.
