Card of the Week: Birth
When Birth turns up, its chief message is that something in your life is in its initial stages – and you’re being encouraged to foster that growth and development – in other words, to care for and nurture your “baby.”
In the literal sense, Birth may center on the care and nurturing of an actual baby; in the metaphorical, this card can suggest the duties and responsibilities that come with a new phase, chapter or experience in your life. Aspects of the situation may still be gestating or “in utero,” which you’ll need to attend to for the thing you’ve conceived to be birthed (made manifest, come into being and/or come to fruition). With that in mind, what “baby step” would you be willing to take to move things along?
Another possibility with Birth is that you may feel the need to do some inner child work, or undergo a rebirthing process, to heal an issue related to your childhood.
If that resonates with you and you work with angelic energy, you can invite your guardian angels to be with you throughout your process, as they have been assigned to you since your birth. You can also call upon (my beloved) Archangel Metatron, who works closely with children (especially those who are sensitive), as well as Archangel Gabriel (who announces births) and Mother Mary (said to be the Queen of the Angels, and the epitome of unconditional love).
And since healing may be an aspect of that inner work (baby Jesus symbolizes the potential for healing), Archangels Raphael and Uriel are energies that can be tapped, as well as Archangel Michael, to cut the energetic (umbilical) cords to any past attachments.
Since Christmas is the day where some celebrate the birth of the Christ, this card is about the awakening (realization) of the Christ Consciousness within – and to bring more of that consciousness (the development of a strong compassionate understanding of others, having great tolerance, unconditional love for yourself) to your external environments.
Whatever the specifics – and however you choose to go about it – Birth says this is the time to put into practice some TLC – for either yourself (first and foremost) or for what you’re creating for the world to witness and experience.
