When 8 of Hearts turns up, it can offer a couple possibilities for your consideration.
Going with the image, the first possibility is that 8 of Hearts is referring to your guardian angel. The message, in this respect, is for you to know that your guardian angel is watching over and protecting you. 8 of Hearts can suggest feeling (Hearts being the suit of feelings and emotions) watched over and protected by higher forces (8 being associated with the Infinite).
This might be the right and perfect time to cultivate more of a connection to the angel(s) said to be assigned to you at your birth. 8 of Hearts suggests having the faith and trust that you can make that connection.
The second possibility has to do with justice. With that, this might be the time to seek balance and equilibrium.
If you need to make a decision of some kind, 8 of Hearts encourages you to look at the situation from all sides, to weigh the facts and the evidence, to weigh the pros and the cons, so you can make the decision from a place of being well-informed.
If others factor into the situation in any way, 8 of Hearts suggests striving for the best and highest good of everyone involved (which includes you!). You’re being asked to demonstrate fairness, neutrality, and impartiality, which may help others release their own biases and prejudices.
Going deeper, or higher, depending on your perspective, 8 of Hearts can also refer to the Spiritual Law of Cause and Effect. The Law is “no respecter of persons,” and operates the same for everyone, whether one believes in it or not (it’s the impartial aspect of justice). In this sense, everything works for the best and highest good of everyone all the time – despite how the outcome appears.
This is the metaphorical double-edged aspect of justice: On the one side, justice is about fair and just decisions; on the other, justice is about accountability, demanding that you stand in your integrity, stand up for your convictions, and do the right thing.
